Crucial M4 256 Speed Issue?

Hi all,

I have just installed a brand new Crucial M4 256Gb in my laptop and done a clean install of windows 7 home premium 64 bit.

My laptop is a Dell Studio 1749 with 8gb RAM and an i5 CPU.

It is a SATA II interface.

My Crystal Disk Mark results seem to be quite low - any thoughts please ? (pic attached)

Many thanks in advance for any advice smile.gif

I think that is normal for Sata 2.

That's great thanks smile.gif The 4k scores looked a bit low but I shouldn't get too hung up on benchmarks anyway LOL! It is certainly a LOT snappier than my previous drive (which is now the second HDD) a Seagate Momentus Hybrid smile.gif
