No, you are not pushing your PSU, at all.

But wont the Cpu wattage get like much higher at full maximum load? It's maybe 150 when overclocked and idle, but what when all cores goes to 100% cpu usage, I think it will use like alot more then just 150w then, or am I wrong?

1600w psu? you trolling xD?
Kind of trolling, he was making a nonsensical reply to what basically was a nonsensical post, to show you how ridiculous your post was.

And my wattage numbers were taking into account full load numbers, not idle. Who the hell cares about idle?

If you want to know idle, then here you go:

Phenom II x4: ~50 watts
GTX 660: ~20 watts
Everything else: 100 watts.

He must have misunderstood. People here are nice smile.gif

Like the others said your current PSU is perfectly good enough. Even if you want to upgrade I suggest you get a simple sea sonic bronze 520watt PSU.

It was more poking fun at how off base you were with your reply, and how you somehow believed that your power supply couldn't handle it yet it still was handling it just fine. And he was also poking fun at you somehow believing that you needed 400 extra watts just for overclocking, so he took it to the extreme and picked out the biggest single consumer power supply.

Anyways, why would I not take load numbers into consideration? Isn't that the important thing, making sure the power supply has enough power to power your system at full load? Why would I even use idle numbers in my calculations? A little bit of common sense here would be nice.

Cleaned / re-opened. Original Sin is absolutely correct. Please keep TOS in mind when participating in OCN threads.

As for OP's question on recommending an 800 Watt PSU 'gold' rated - Corsair AX850 fully modular running my rig currently and is a great PSU. That's my preference and opinion.

Btw, I have a AMD Phenom II X4 at 4.2 Overclocked.
Nvidia GTX 660 Ti (Stock)
Asus M5a97 PRO motherboard.
Corsair XSM3 1600mhz.
I got all this on the vx450, and I think im kinda stressing the psu quite a bit, dunno.

Actually it's a 450W power supply. Just because you can overload a power supply does not mean it's a higher wattage than what it claims. It just means it has engineering headroom.
