Help with graphics settings in Far Cry 3

Thread Starter
Hey guys I'm playing Far Cry 3 with my sig rig and actually the game is very cool but my performance is not good frown.gif, I have my HD7950 with latest 12.11beta 11 and Cap2 and in the game I run at 1080P with Ultra settings, HDAO, Vsync On and antialiasing OFF. My fps are between 40-60 fps but if I turn Msaa 4X it drops to 30-35 :S . Btw I have installed the patch 101.
I'm also experiencing some stuttering, sometimes it's annoying.
Please help me because I see some guys with HD7950 running the game at Ultra and even with antialiasing on they're having good fps.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, MSAA is a killer for this game. I can't seem to stabilize the game with it. Needs some patching quick. Keep MSAA off and turn V-Sync off. Then, try going to Catalyst and forcing V-Sync in the game. Should help a bit with the stuttering.

Hope that helps redface.gif

Edit: Also, if you are adamant about having MSAA on, try keeping it at 2x. It won't look too different at all and could be a pretty nice performance boost.

Hey thanks dude, I'll try with V Sync off. The MSAA is off because even if I turn it to 2X the performance drops too much in my case.
Btw, have you installed the patch 101 and 102 ? I only have the 101 but I don't know if the last patch may improve the performance.

Seems to be a game related issue. A lot of people complaining about the same thing.

What worked for me was installing the Beta 12.11 Drivers with cap included.

As for settings I have it at 1080p on High. MSAA and Vsync disabled. DX11 on, some people have better results with DX9

Also these settings helped a lot with fps.
