Potential PSU failure? - Page 4

In Canada, that is cheap. Look up the mobos there, this is half my original PC budget I might have to spend thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif. If it wasn't such a PITA I'd just head over to Buffalo. I have the money its a matter of wanting to spend it but if I have an excuse to upgrade I'm taking it thumb.gif.

Here's hoping I get some kind of store credit for them handing me an incompatible fire hazard (doubt it). I didn't go out and pick the mobo, I picked the CPU and said I need a mobo that works with this. They said it did. If I want to pull the whole "my hot coffee spilled" card I could say that I almost burned to death in my sleep (my PC is 2m away). But I don't like being an ******* and I should have done research myself. Besides, the store where I am never has anything in stock if you go online, in store its usually different but its usually not what you're looking for. I've made a habit of emailing or calling ahead.

yeah 243 bucks including tax, which is 13% here. 210 * 1.13 = 237.

Just saying, did you come into this thread just to complain about how its 6 dollars more for you?

He was here before, lay off.

OK so we're even on prices. The gripe Canadians have is that 90% of us live by the US border where prices are usually half what we pay.

If anyone can complain its South America.

Anyhow, the CPU lives so I'm going to go in tomorrow and see what AM3+ is in stock. My only issue is that my local store has nearly nothing in stock and they're moving down the plaza so things are really in a jiffy. The website has crappy updates so there could very well be a Sabertooth sitting there.

Just going by online stock listing, this looks like my new mobo: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_335&item_id=053331

Thanks smile.gif... Try getting a 6+2 phase mobo at the minimum. Check out what mobos they have, post them here and we can help you out!

I got the one from the post you just quoted. Just plugging the last parts in now.

*Edit: and its running well. I'm sol mostly but the CPU runs so 150 bucks isn't bad no siree bob. Besides this new mobo is a beast.

I didn't do anything with windows 7 I just uninstalled the gigabyte drivers and installed the asus ones. I think I'll be fine, nothing bad yet.

I didn't like how hard it was to get the RAM in, it was tight. Also the RAM slots are too close to the CPU by a quarter inch so my TX3 overlapped the first slot but just a wee bit, thankfully I have more slots to use. Considering how small those complaints are, I think we'll be doing just fine. I love this BIOS!
