OK, so I just wanted to say, I'm withholding my vote for the moment. The fact of the matter is, I'm not an i7 folder and I don't know much about the SB-E chips, so I've tossed this to my team, specifically my i7 folders, and I'm giving them a couple of days to respond.
Since taking over Full Auto, I've made it a point to try to involve the team as much as possible in anything that can have a major impact on us, whether it is about adding a new teammate or something like this, so I want their input before I cast a vote that is speaking for us a whole.
Also, to keep from skewing my own opinion, I'm holding off on looking at the results so far as well.
Lastly, as I do not know much about the SB-E chips, do we any hard numbers on what they can do and how they compare to the 2600k, 2700k and 3770k chips?

So this is basically saying that if we let them in, the i7-1 slot is becoming an SB-E slot because SB / IB chips will not be anywhere near competitive against the SB-E chips? We can still have SB / IB chips in the Cat, but they won't be competitive?
