Accelero Hybrid vs Accelero Xtreme III on 580, OC 900 or maybe more. - Page 2

I wouldn't say much better. Performance is similar. Hybrid/Extreme
Compared to your card cooling, temps will be lower, but not much.

You will also need 3 mobo slots, as these will take up space.

I did the mod with my old H50, which replaced a AXP cooler.

Better temps with the H50 mod over the AXP. Better temps with the Hybrid over the H50 mod.

Having said that, using a Antec 620 would yield better temps than using a H50.

I prefer the hybrid because it look neater and I have a soft spot for accelero coolers. tongue.gif

So, it comes down to personal preference.

You mean the Antec 620 Mod would be better than the Hybrid?

I probably wasnt clear - sorry redface.gif

The Antec 620 Mod would be better than my H50 mod - size and temp wise.

From a cost point perspective. yes the Antec 620 Mod is better

From a performance perspective, the hybrid is probably on par with the Antec 620 Mod

Ive used both the mod and the hybrid as well as the Accelero Xtreme coolers . Personally, I prefer the hybrid.

I thought you were referring to the Xtreme III cooler here. This made me understand that the Hybrid is better than the Xtreme III.

Sp33d Junki3 was raising the cost point of the mod vs the hybrid... which I concured was a valid point.

As stated, Ive used the AX pro and plus, not the Xtreme III. Sorry if I confused you redface.gif

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835186067

With the price being 90 for the Hybrid and I'm having temp issues is this still the best choice?
