ps D1 have all dolby capabilities of 5.1 and 7.1 virtualization
something else, if i use extension cable on the headset's cable, will it have quality loss?
also, compared to Astro's A40 and A50s what will be the sound quality? better or the same at least?
thanks for everything guys

Astro A40 are junk, they only sound alright because of the mixamp, but you can get much better for the price.

D1 is the best sound card available for 70-80$. If you want to spend more you can always take a look at the creative titanium HD.

something last, maybe i should go for Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium PCI Express? instead of xonar DX? regarding to this post for gaming:

THE ULTIMATE GAMER
70%+ Gaming 30% Music/Movies/Other.

You're totally into gaming. FPS is your life. Nice sound in music is cool, but let's be honest, you're wanting total positioning advantage so you can kill noobs and tea-bag their dead corpses inciting rage in 12 year olds.

You should be looking into Creative cards for the most part.

But which should you look at?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to hide)
$30 Price Range:

Creative XtremeGamer/Music

$80 Price Range:

Creative Titanium

There is never a reason to get the Titanium FATAL1TY. There is no difference between this and the normal Titanium except for now USELESS X-ram. Plus, the FATAL1TY is normally ALWAYS more expensive since it attracts ignorant gamers who think they'll get a huge advantage boost cuz it's gaming oriented or whatever.

Xonar will give you the best audio quality while the titanium may give you better 3d positioning. I wouldnt get the titanium over the xonar tbh.

They have a different sound signature, you would need to try them both to notice it, actually.

I'm really enjoying the sound that my DX produce, and I find the 3d positioning in CS to be very accurate.
