Advice for upgrade on graphics card

post #1 of 17
Thread Starter
Hello

My current video card is giving me problems (artifacts, monitor not picking signal occasionally, crossfire not working) and I am looking to replace it with a new video card...

Can someone advise me on what would be the best compatible video card for my computer specs.. i dont have a budget in mind... Please give suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Are you sure it's your card? Have you updated to latest drivers etc?

How much money do you have?
It's a bit hard to recommend anything if you dont say how much you can spend
And to me it sounds like the card is dying but i could be wrong

@Davayy - Yes sir its my card... i bought it ages ago.. havent been up to date with tech for a while... And yes i have the latest drivers... the crossfire option just dissapeared... i think the card is faulty lately cuz i had a overheating problem and i had to install quite a bit of fans to bring temps down frm 100c to 40c

@shilka - I dont have a budget in mind... but i wouldnt mind spending anywhere between $100 - $200 ,,,

Thanks for the replies...

Ok, well with that sort of budget, it will be hard to get anything proper good.

No, your powersupply is more than enough for any card right now.

If you have the money for it and now i dont know what price level what cards are on where you are from but a GTX 660 TI gives pretty good bang for buck

Those are rather new games if you wanna make them look good you will need some GPU horsepower so yes
