[Project] : BrinNutz's Skyhawk Case Mod - Updated almost Daily!!!!!!!!!!

Well, you can't see one of my mod's atm...cuz of the competition, but here's another one I'm working on as well :

I'm taking this case, all I know is it's a SkyHawk Eagle Tech MSR4615 D7 Aluminum ATX Mid-tower Case, and I got it for 20 bucks from newegg ages ago when I bought my 3500+.

Anywho, Here it is :

It's the one on the top right (no, there's no window, yet anyways!)

Here is a really old pic of the case, before I modded the front of it so I could get some air in from the front, and before I ripped out the LCD..w00t..

I just found another really old pic of the case...omg...this is from the first time I put it together I think!

n00b days :

Updated 11/27/06
Added this pic of the original case I had found :

And here's the case again, when it's new :
http://dealnews.com/deals/Sky-Hawk-E...30/102583.html

I'm going to be painting it, which I've already started, a metallic blue on the inside, and burnt orange exterior...I think it will look SHHAAWWEEEET...

Oh yea, this is not for my sig rig, it's for my web surfin rig...=)

Priming:

Now, for the metallic blue, I have to use an base coat of metal cast stuff, which is basically just metal flake. Then the coats of blue go over it.
Here's the base coat:

And, the first coat of blue on the inside...It's looking better now though, in person at least..lol

Now, here is the external cover. I have a piece of plexi that covers the whole front of the case, as you can see in first pic, that I had to remove so that I could paint the plastic, which is more of a pain then anything...

That's it for now...I'll be painting more here in the coming days...

BTW...
How do y'all like my painting booth? LOL

And here's the computer that's going to go inside...The Guts, if you will...

Special Thanks to Baran!!

Baran donated a TT Bigwater 745 to the build, that he wasn't using. So, I'm going to be using some of the parts from what he has sent me.

I will be marking a spot on the case, which will give a Special Thanks to Baran!

I will try the pump out for sure, but I think I will be sticking with the double heater core for the cooling.

Here are the pieces, todd, I hope you are checking this thread...!!

Will do...

I got another coat of blue on the frame last night after I posted..but I dunno how it turned out. the flippin can kept putting actual drops of paint on the metal. Like a drop would just fall off the lip of the can, and aboue 3-4 of them are on the floor of the case. I don't really know what to do.

Do I just sand it lightly until they are gone?

Edit:

And, the reason I chose the colors, is because the PSU I have for this thing, is Blue metal, orange windowed, with orange cabling.

Let it dry for a day or so and wet sand with some fine grit or fine steel wool..When your using spray can's turn them upside down every 3rd or 4th pass, pointing away from your work of course, and let it spray till it comes out clear, just a second or two, that kind of helps keep your nozzle clear and it doesn't start splattering so much....
