Good luck, man. I'm following your build like the mod junkie I am.
Ouch man, I'm glad we're fortunate that it wasn't that bad for us!!

Heck, we had 4 sump pumps going in our two tanks at one time. barely keepin us

All things considered, I'm really glad that I (in general) don't have to worry about sump pumps being a renter. But the flip side of that coin is that my house-converted-into-apartment building is like 80 yrs old. So, instead, I have to worry about sealing and resealing air leaks so that I don't freeze overnight (since we have electric heating only, which doesn't compete too well to the frigid night air).

Anywho, hope you can get back to your modding tonight, mate!
And for that matter, I hope you didn't get the bunches of snow dumped on you that the Chicago area did -- or are you actually close enough to catch a lot of the lake-effect snows?
I will be getting back to the modding tonight. I got some new tools, next post will have pics of them!

We didn't get much snow at all, just tons of rain and some flurries today, but nothing stuck. As of 5pm tonight, we had gotten .62" of rain/snow. I think it's a little low, but that's me.

Yea, renting is the way to go, sometimes. But, then it's like. WTH, you get nothing to show for it when it's all over though. Ya know? LOL, which is exactly why I would probably never lease a car, and since I used to sell New Chevrolet's, I probably wouldn't anyways.

I drew out some pics here for my plan. I'm going to have to use a single piece of aluminum and bend my own C channel, and then bend it up for the bottom 3/4's of the frame.

Here's my drawings from this evening.

Was thinking of trying to mount my fillport and res on the top of the case, but it's not possible with the barb being the only thing on the bottom of the Res.
May have to scratch that idea!

Don't know how I like having the "teardrop windows." will probably change the side panel design a million times. Even thought of the OCN Flame...

This here was my original idea, till me and my pops were talking it over, I realized that I couldn't use those screw holes, b/c they would protrude into the Rad itself.

And here, is my final rough design for the bottom bracket of the heater core frame. It will be made from one solid piece of aluminum, that I will bend myself, along with mitring out the 45 degree notches so that the I will be able to bend it up to make it U shaped.

Sorry for the bleed through on some of the pics, I was using the back of a test page print..oops

How dare you insult Mr. Dude........He is a DUCK!

I love the harbor frieght, there is one down the road from me, cheap stuff! If it break its cheap enough to get more!

----

I know your leaky basement pains as well. Not sure if yuo noticed when you were here, but my house was built in 1930. my basement floor has lots of cracks and used to flood about 1/2" - 1" all over. we have 2 sumps. I punched a bunch of holes in the sides of the sumps and I dont have anymore flooding. basically opened the sumps to the earth so it can pump out the water before it comes up through the cracks!

----

I am interested on you rad mounting so be sure to post lots of pics!

Some quick comments:
Penguin vs Duck -- the difference should be a little more obvious,. But sometimes, maybe you've got something in your eye and that Duck starts looking like a penguin?

Secondly, good luck with all that metal work your sketches are showing.

Third: do you have a Dremel? Useful SOB tools, they are! I had mine out earlier tonight to cut some plastic wire-retnetion nubs off of a fan case's topside so that I could have enough room mount my hard drive above that fan cage. I love my Dremel...
