if you havent ordered anything yet you might want to consider getting the FX8350 it is a tad bit more $$ but will be worth it. The only other thing you might want to consider is a 600 series NVidia card its a new build why not get the best you can get a 660ti for about the same price as a 570 and 660ti is very close to the 670. make sure the cpu and the mobo can support the full clock of the ram you might be able to save money on 16gb at 1866

A lot of outdated stuff in there.
For GPU and CPU take above advice.
The Antec 1200 is old and ugly, overall really outdated. And you don't need a case that massive.

i do have an Intel 330 240gb and i will say that it is considerably fast for being a little out dated now that they have the 520 out but with my FX6300, windows 8 loads in almost 10-15 seconds to get to the desktop.

Ended up replacing the above with the following:

EVGA 02G-P4-2678-KR GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor FD8350FRHKBOX

good choice you will be happier with that.

Are you dead set on Nvidia? You could get a 7970 near the price of the 670. More bang for your buck there. Why the full sized tower also? Are you going to water cool eventually? It is not a bad case, just does not seem to fit with this build, imho. You also do not need a 1000w PSU. If you feel like you want some head room in that department I would say go with 850w max for this build. Save the money and make sure to get a modular PSU, it will make your life easier in the long run with cable management. Good luck! thumb.gif

Also, consider a ASrock Fatal1ty 990fx mobo, its a great board and less expensive.

You'd get better framerates with an Intel CPU and AMD videocard..

If you plan on overclocking..stick with the big PSU

Crucial M4 or Samsung 840 would be my choice for SSD.
for 240 gigs..you could get 2 128GB ones and RAID 0 them..

CHV is the best mobo for AMD..There's very few others I'd get.

Yea honestly for a new build the 8350 would be a bad move as it's priced similar to the i5 3570k which for gaming has better performance. If you want to do gaming as well as stuff like rendering go with the 8350 but otherwise there's no point.
The same goes with the 670 as even though nvidia is better for productivity usage like photo editing and rendering for just gaming a 7970 or even 7950 will suffice. (7950 is priced really well and you still get the 3 free games!)
