I don't think they literally added it back so much as Google submitted their own app after it was removed from iOS.

I think this was the case, I'm not 100% sure though.

Correct. But it works just as well as it did before from my experience with it.

Personally love my iPad 3rd gen. I use it for everything I do. Plan projects, school work, paint, and the display is great for reading (girlfriend is jelly because she has a nook and the text is noticeably less straining to read).

Only thing that kinda sucks now, is when i upgrade my phone when my contract rolls, I'll feel pressured to switch the iPad over as well so I can just have one cable laying around the house.

I know they're looking at TSMC's 28nm process and possibly 20nm (though that may be in 2014) but not sure how well their processes handle leakage.

Nope. That's Google's YouTube app. Made by Google. The YouTube app that came with iOS 5 and earlier was made by Apple.

That's right, Google submitted their own app.

It's more about developers building apps with considerations of how much power the target devices are. Think about consoles, they run all the games fine, but compared to even a decent modern PC the performance suffers. The visual fidelity on Android games is almost always worse than the iOS equivalents.

This makes a lot more sense now that you used the console vs PC reference!

I find iPad 3 battery more then enough. If only smart-phones has battery like like this. I use it only @ home and don't need to charge it for 3 days. Having 4 or 5 day battery is not really a + for me. Performance also is not really a issue.
