Ooh right because of the big plastic housing and the tiny fan...

Will the extra casefans be useless aswell?
Yes, the extra fans if setup right will increase the cases airflow, hopefully improving the temperature.

Well I added two fans to my case but the temps are still high.. mad.gif

But I think I found a solution!

I ordered an Arctic Accelero Xtreme Plus II and I will attempt to install it tomorrow.
Found some youtube guides that made it look pretty easy.
From my experience of using aftermarket coolers, I think I could guarantee that will not only reduce temps, but make it significantly quieter smile.gif providing you put it on properly of course hehe (its bloody easy)

Hmm just tried to install the cooler.

Turned the card around after waiting 5(!) hours for the glue to dry. And 2 heatsinks fell off. The glue isn't even dry yet.

And yes I cleaned everything before applying the glue.

I quess I'll wait another 5 hours and hope for the best.

Thanks Arctic.

Just installed it and the heatsinks still stick.

Just ran OCCT and got a max temp of 76 after 20mins of testing. It's not great but it's better than the 90+ I had before.

Overall, I don't think it was worth all the trouble.

I had a version of that cooler for my 4890 and the vrm's got pretty hot while the gpu stayed a lot cooler. Just remember to check them too..

After a few hours it started raining heatsinks frown.gif the glue still didn't dry after 24+ hours.

I've removed the remaining heatsinks. I'll go buy thermal tape and new thermal paste tomorrow...

Any tips on how to remove the wet glue from the pcb? Or should I just leave it and put the tape over it?
