$2000 USD Eyefinity Rig (Including 3 Monitors)

Thread Starter
Christmas is coming and I seriously need a gaming rig. I'm tired of trying to play games on my Mac/non-gaming Windows laptops. My budget is capped at $2000, including monitors. Here's my build so far, any help in reducing the price/getting the best build for the money would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H - $130 (including $15 rebate)
CPU: i5 3570k - $215
RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance 16gb DDR3 1866 - $82
GPU: MSI R7970-2PMD3GD5/OC Radeon HD 7970 3GB - $430 (Including $10 rebate, and it comes with 4 free games including FarCry 3!)
PSU: Rosewill FORTRESS 750w - $120 (I could probably opt for a lower watt PSU like a 550)
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 256gb - $270
HDD: WD Black Caviar 1TB - $110
Heatsink: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO - $35
Case: CORSAIR Vengeance C70 - $70 (with $20 rebate)
DVD Burner: ASUS 24x Burner - $25
Monitors: LG IPS231B-BN Black 23" 5ms IPS LED - $180x3 = $540
Active DisplayPort -> DVI adapter (needed for Eyefinity): SAPPHIRE Active Mini Display Port (M) to Single-Link DVI (F) - $30
Wireless Card: ASUS PCE-AC66 Next Generation AC Dual-Band Wireless Adapter - $100 (I have a NETGEAR 802.11 AC router, so I would prefer a card like this)

TOTAL = ~$2155

So I need to shave at least $155 somehow. For starters, I could opt for a lower watt PSU. How low should I go, 500 or so?
Thank you all again for your help/suggestions.

Go with the samsung wonder ram, you don't really need 16gb so 8gb would be enough.

If your'e going with the 7970 then get the GHZ edition, they are binned processors and normally overclock more.

Don't bother with a 256gb SSD, 128gb will be more than enough.

Have a look at the seasonic 620w. If you're planning SLi then have a look at the seasonic X750. But yes you could get away with the seasonic 520w psu.

Why did you get an SSD and a WD Black, I'd have a look at the Blue drives, cheaper and good for storage, everything will be installed on your SSD either way

Also, don't bother with the 830 pro, the standard drive will be quick enough as well.

DItch the HSF and don't overclock until you can afford a better HSF. The ivybridge run hot but you should be ok with stock for a month or two.

You could even go for a green, or to be fair jsut skip the HDD altogheter and stick with the samsung until you've saved up some money.
Same as above said, that goes for the PSU to .

Other than that i would skip the DVD altogether and try to salvage one, but without a HDD, cheaper SSD and PSU you're already down to budget.
