Windows Processes (win7 ultimate)

Hey all ...

I know you should never do this but I am curious on how to do it purely for learning sake ... I tried googling from my mobile but it was getting annoying as hell so I thought I would ask here

How do I prevent a windows process from opening in the first place ? ... EG:

Lets say I run program A ... and running that causes a windows process called B to start up even though B isn't needed ... How can I stop B from ever running when I run A ? ...

If that makes sense ... lol

All information would be greatly appreciated.

Leave processess alone, no performance gain from disabling them, it just shave a couple of seconds off boot time.

I am not trying to save on boot time ... I am just curious how to prevent them from starting up ...

I had someone I know that bought a game (pirated) and everytime he runs the game it never stops loading ... I worked out it was a windows process and laughed ... but it got me thinking how do you prevent windows processes from booting and how they are used to prevent pirating ...

My friend landed up cutting the process out of the wbem folder in system 32 ... a few day s later his pc crashed .. hahahahahahaha ...

Anyway ... it was purely out of curiosity that I asked
