You're going to get a lot of people saying that's why Bad Company 2 was considered good, because it was a spin-off. It had more "CoD like" elements (although, I still think both are pretty far from being like CoD at all) yet it's acceptable because it's a spin off and not the main Battlefield series. I even see a lot of people who go on and on about how bad BF3's client-side hit detection is, then go on to say BC2 was a better game when BC2 was far worse in that aspect.
