1: Only on PC.
2: Not really that bad.
3: Good riddance.
And your last comment proves your ignorance on the subject. Apologies if this sounded insulting.
Yeah, the 1/2 that has less glitches, has VOIP, apparently has more teamwork than the PC version as you guys complain about teamwork all the time.
So yeah, I'll enjoy my superior half.
Wife? No. GF? Yes. Kids? Not yet. Elderly parents to look after? Never will, I may be a nice person, but I am not going to sign my life away, or I would join the French Foreign Legion if I wanted to sign my life away.
Own a house? No. Rent? Yes. Car? Yes. Car insurance? Yes. Benefits? Yes. Internet, TV and phone is shared.
They did not nerf the guns. If they did, they only did it on the PC version.
1: To make the game more fluent. That's a few extra seconds that you would have been spotting to actually dodge and get to cover.
2: Agreed. Though being a 0% health and still barely alive is funny.
3: No point.
Bold: BF2 statistically has less features. BF1942 has way more features than BF2, you should go play that. Or BFVietnam which has more features than any other Battlefield game. BF3 is not competing with another franchise. Stop confusing MOH with BF.

I think BF2 had more option for teamwork (when playing with randoms), BF3 (on PC) has no real teamwork unless you are in a group on teamspeak (and then even average players can dominate a server)

They have nerfed the guns read the patch notes for every patch on all platforms most weapons have been nerfed at some point

I don't give a toss about your easy financial situation, I don't think anyone does what bothers people is the rude way you insult those that say something is too expensive..... insulting peoples fiscal situation just because you may be better off than them is simply immature

BF Vietnam didn't have more features than any other trust me on this I played that game since release (and still do now)

hahaha...sure it isn't. The constant high priced DLC isn't evidence of that at all! They never did any marketing to win the COD crowd over..none at all ever!

BF3 does not 'have more teamwork' than BF2. My friend likes to run and gun, in BF2 he gets slaughtered by squads if he goes without me and our friends. In BF3(unless it's changed a ton after the first 6 months), he could go off on his own and never had to worry if his squad was with him.

I'm not sure how you can argue for auto-spotting. Part of the challenge is being able to spot on the fly to give your team a momentary advantage. Everyone spotting everyone is just a crutch.

Why is there no point to commander? When you have decent players in the role, the games can be fantastic.

Last time I checked, the DLC does not cost $20 each. $15 for the DLC is not high priced. That is an extremely nice price. No overpricing, unlike COD DLC which is overpriced for what you get.
Heh, weird. Cause I have always went lone-wolf in BF2 unless with friends and owned either way, in-fact, I did better in BF2 when I "run n' gun". tongue.gif Me being a medic in BF2 meant that I would heal myself and maybe revive teammates if I wanted to.
Thing is, it is easier to spot people in real life than it is in BF2. Also, the only time I spotted in BF2 was when I was commander.

You do not need physical chat to work as a team, just so you know.
They nerfed the guns? I am going to assume "nerf" means downgrade. If so, that is not a bad thing at all.
I like the hypocrisy in your 3rd paragraph. I am not claiming I am better off. I am claiming I know more about prices than most people, which for the most part, has been proven true.
I have played BFVietnam the most out of all of the Battlefield games. The only OS it liked was XP, so if you had XP you had all of the features and then the game had more than the rest.

No matter what game you play, if you're playing on public servers it's going to be hard to get most people to work as a team. Even if the tools are there, it does not mean people are going to use them. This is proven in pretty much in every Battlefield by people who camped vehicles and just tried to be a lone-wolf or abuse said tools. In my experience, I've had to seek out teamwork in any Battlefield game, with BF3 being no different.

BC2 to me is a different animal and a better one when it comes to warfare. The sounds, game mechanics and visuals just seem like they were executed with a better purpose. The hit detection, nerfed-weapons are a few things that bug the hell out of me with BF3. I also can't stand using web browser for searching servers...
Both games have their positives and negatives but I think BC2 has far more outweighing positives compared to BF3.

Honestly.. it seems like you have things backwards, but whatever.. They're your opinions so I won't tell you that they're wrong.

*edit and not directed at Snake* Whether or not someone knows the value of a dollar is extremely irrelevant and doesn't belong in this thread. Worth is extremely subjective. Some people can feel DLC is too expensive because they wouldn't get the time invested in it that other might be able to. For myself, $15 for a DLC I will get 50+ hours out of is extremely worth it. However, for someone who doesn't enjoy the game all that much or will only play it for a few hours and then never play it again, it probably isn't going to be worth it to them.

DLC in general, is crap. This new generation of gamers is happy to get $$ raped, but I refuse to. Release patches, expansion packs, or skip to the next game. DLC is garbage.

You must have been playing in some lame servers to be able to lone-wolf in BF2(or playing the console version?)... But anyone can make those statements since there's no proof to the contrary.

How is it easier to spot people? To say "enemy over there", is not the same as spotting someone on a RADAR. To do that in real life, you'd have to what, laser dot them? I don't know what we'd do in the military, but it would still take more time than pointing or looking.

BF2 has a console version? LMAO! And you are complaining about your generation of gamers (Inferred from your statement proving either your age and/or knowledge). Too funny.
No, I join the most populated servers on BF2.
To spot in real life is done over the radio.

DLC in Battlefield 3's case is no different from an expansion pack. Battlefield 2's expansion packs offered a similar amount of content at a similar price point.

And so did BF1942's expansion packs.

To spot in BF2, marks someone on the radar. How exactly is that the same as using a radio?? And how is using a radio faster than clicking q and mousing over something? I would even be ok if they at least kept BC2's spotting system where you only have to click q and not be specific about it. Maybe in the future they'll incorporate speech recognition and you can spot things by yelling at your PC.

You typed LMAO, and your lack of knowledge of BF2 on the consoles maybe speaks to your age? The generation I come from, and game with avoids shooters like BF3 and COD. We had fun with SOFII, but mostly for the gore and ridiculousness. Seriously though, you've got a great attitude toward people.

A populated server does not imply a GOOD server.

DLC to me, is not the same as expansion packs once were. It feels like every other week we hear of new DLC for a game.

BF2 was never on consoles. I am 18, I got BF1942 in 2003 and played the hell out of it. I got BF2 near release. I got BFVietnam with the BF1942 Complete collection and played more of BFVietnam than any other game. I got BF3 a few days ago and it is fantastic. I borrowed BC1&2, played the MP of both, it was decent, reminded me of CODMW.
DLC, regardless of mine and your beliefs are expansions for games. COD is a decent series. I prefer TreyArch's ones though.
128 player servers are not the good servers? Your opinions are funny.
