You still have Battlefield 2 and 2142 to go back to if you want that specific experience and DICE isn't going to change that. They just have to evolve for the better of their company so they can still go on to make games for people to enjoy.

I just wish they'd stuck with the formula, or at least added mod support. The BF2 community is still there, but it's shrinking. I mean, Valve kept almost the exact same formula for L4D2, and even though I hated the short life L4D was given, L4D2 is just as entertaining and when bought during a sale didn't break the bank. Add on top of that free official maps, it's like BF2's patches all over again(though the most recent L4D2 map is questionable).

I have made the connections. The connection is in title only. LittleBigPlanet and LittleBigPlanet (PSP) share the same title. Would you say those games release over a year apart from eachother with different storylines are the same game?
I am not representing my demographic well? Well, considering my demographics is mainly made up of immature brats that annoy the living hell out of me, I think compared to them, I am representing it quite fine. Apologies if I put too much weight on your shoulders.

LittleBigPlanet and it's PSP version doesn't change anything about BF2 and BF2:MC... BF2:MC had a single player where the PC version didn't, and the MP was gimped due to limiations at the time. It was intended to be the same game though, and was the best they could do with a port at the time. LBP was intended to be a parallel, not a copy, and times changed quite a bit between BF2 release and LBP.

There's no weight on my shoulders, and not sure what that statement was supposed to mean really. As for stating maturity... you're 18, you've still got plenty of time to mature in the adult world. No one's calling you a child, but you're getting ahead of yourself a bit, and you're wrong in this instance.

I completely agree with modding support for BF3... it could make the game so much better in so many ways. Heck, you can't even make personal offline mods, or lan mods... frown.gif
I had so many outrageous mods back in BF2... snipers with 4 zoom modes that fires tank shells... 100 round per second arty... imagine that in a 64 bot LAN... MADNESS, but FUN! lol. Point blank bot snipers would kill so many people by mistake lol.

Weight as in "cruel honesty". I get carried away sometimes by it. And I like your views.

Considering I didn't bring up older games for non-relevant parts, may be you. Your Power Pete reference was funny.

I don't even have this game installed any more...glad I only paid $10 for it. BF2142 was ten times the game BF3 is.

No Commanders really sucks...I used to not think much of them since it was only about half the time the squads would listen to you, but even if 50% of the strategy worked I can see now that you gained something. Plus having one person watching for good locations to launch UAVs, drop supplies, or drop an orbital strike really helped out the team. I really hope there are commanders in BF4 again.

The lack of in game VoIP really kills any chance of team work...unless you are logging on with a group, but you can't always do that...and I don't know a single person who likes the game even so I've never even had any one to log on with. And here I was hoping they would have added vehicle chat channel. Drove me nuts in BF2142 that if I wasn't squaded with the person or people in my vehicle I could not talk to them.

The unlocks were handled really dumb in my opinion. As a new player coming in it was really difficult. Mainly because every one had a 4x scope on their gun. They can accurately hit my head when all I can do is cover their body with my iron sight and hope. To unlock the scope I have to get kills with the gun...they should have just given points and let us chose whatever unlock we wanted when we got the points to do so...like in BF2142. After I got some unlocks everything was fine though...just the first week or so was rough.

The flying vehicles are a pain to fly...with some practice it isn't impossible, but it is like they made them too realistic. I don't want to worry about pitch and yaw...and just want to go forward when I want to go forward...I loved how there was no flying done in the single player game for BF3. Probably because only one out of a 100 would find it enjoyable.

Overall it was a huge disappointment for me. I will still play BF2142 every now and then, but I don't think I will ever play BF3 again. I was very hesitant to buy BF3 since I knew all of this ahead of time and I will be even more cautious to buy BF4 .

Wow. Just wow. I did not get that one closed. I have not gotten any thread closed and do not plan to. It's the posts like yours, the ones that have insulted me, is what got the threads closed. Not me. Stop blaming innocent people. Karma will have its turn on you if you continue this downward spiral.
