That's about all he says, with no further details, but GameSpot says they've verified the translation, which is interesting. You've got to wonder whether he meant the entire game would take place there, or just parts, like Assassin's Creed III, which had a single stage go down in a Brazilian train station...

I'd prefer it if it doesn't turn into the CoD series. It's almost there already, I just hope they add new types of things in the game. Rather than just release the same thing with a different name every year.

I'd have to say I'm quite disappointed with AC3. They said the combat "system" would be upgraded but other than the kill animations, the mechanics of the combat system is still very much the same one-button mashing (save for tapping 'A' when you're about to get shot by 4 redcoats).

Ubisoft's Prince of Persia Warrior Within had the best combat system for a game like this (action adventure). I can't believe they are not using that system and updating it accordingly. I'm sick and tired of mashing the same button for attack and another for 'counter'. There is no skill involved at all. Combos are unheard of. They can bring in a combo system and finishing moves that have to executed, pun intended, by the player instead of some pre-rendered animation.

The game overall is also quite boring IMO. It's always about following some person for miles on end and this stupid eavesdropping etc.

I am going to hold off on purchasing the next AC. AC3 was a major setback to the series IMO. I like Connor and the Native American theme; they could have done so much more with that.

I haven't really followed this series after Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, but wasn't this series supposed to be a trilogy? What happened to that?

I'm sure it wasn't meant to be a trilogy. AC AC2 AC brotherhood itself makes it 3 games, then there's AC revelations and AC3
