Why dont you purchase a receiver?
Why would anyone buy a receiver at 50 dollars unless they're getting it ridic cheap on CL.

I'm not sure I'd trust that dta-100a to drive such immensely inefficient speakers (84db? really?) at 6 ohms... THD is listed as a terrible 5% at 50W, and I have a feeling it'll start to collapse earlier at higher currents. 6 ohms is listed as the absolute minimum, so it will probably start to struggle well before 50w.

The AudioSource has a higher rating overall, and a lower minimum impedance. I think it'd be better. I'd buy that at a minimum.

Antique receivers can be had for cheap on eBay, but its tough to find a good one since there's so many models that would work.

The DTA-100A can drive those speakers without a problem.

If you're trying to have a house party on those speakers, you've chosen the wrong ones.

I looked at the DTA-100A as well but had a hard time recommending it myself. I had looked for reviews and found this one http://www.hionhifi.com/dayton-audio-dta-100a/ Although he said it was great, twice it failed within the first couple weeks of owning one.

Interesting. If you're using for near-field listening or in a small room, it seems odd to me that the Lepai isn't enough. I know the Pioneer's have fairly high resistance and low sensitivity, but I'm powering Pioneer FS-51s (same resistance and sensitivity) with the same Lepai. That said, I'm also using a 5a power supply rather than the 2a supply that is often shipped with the Lepai (though I've used the 2a supply successfully, too).

I'm pretty late to the thread, so this advice might be worthless by now, but I'd recommend spending $10 on a 5a power supply to see if that does the trick for you.

Otherwise, if you're looking to keep things really cheap, get a used receiver off Craigslist or eBay.

My 2020A has blown out RCA's. I just bought the amp without doing any reviews. I had several ordered and one was replaced free by amazon. I noticed that the transformers are not all the same even new. the one transformer blew out the capacitor on the last one. but now I have another Cap Leaking, with the blown RCS's

is LEPAI even A Legit Manufacturer? Safety is a concern here. I really cant spend much more over $20 so if any of you knows a cheap but stable Amp it would be great to know

I'd also suggest looking on craigslist for a nice $100 receiver

there is no need for $100 receiver I have found over the last 1.5~years the following that would get you what you are looking for.

but in case you just do not have the room.. yeah them lepai t-amps are what they are hella cheap and built as such / low /nonexistent qc.

my t-amp is a SMSL SA-S3 it was about $60 shipped from china... but it came with a nice 4A power supply and has been flawless for going on 2years.

used receiver wise I have found

$40 Pioneer VSX-D1S (135watts per channel ...BIG..but awesome and in vg shape)
$20 Kenwood KR-V106R (100watts per channel ...near mint)
$10 Nikko NR-750 (50 watts per channel ... vg shape nice compact 1/2 size)
$40 Sansui 350A (only 22WPC but sounds like more and sounds great)

and some more stuff

most notably i got for $20 (LOL) a great big onkyo stack M5030 (100WPC dual mono amp) / P3030 preamp /T4087 tuner and EQ35 equalizer

few pics

oh and I just got this Pioneer SX-3600 paid $60 for it.. may well have overpaid slightly but I don't care it is pretty awesome and sounds great)
