Isn't there something wrong with the silver arrow.
I've read youtube comments saying that the cooler can't do much and fails at clocks over 4.5GHz or 4.6GHz?
Just asking.

with an IB i73770k it would not surprise me most if not all air coolers cant cool enough at 4.6Ghz depending on the chip of corse and if it has been successfully delided.

Have never heard a complaint about Silver Arrow... or Cogage Arrow (same cooler). It preforms right up there with D14, K2, TC14PE, HE01, Silver Arrow SB-E, Dark Rock Pro, and a few more. My old Cogage Arrow was only 2-3c hotter on 920 @ 4.0GHz than my TC14PE was.. have 980 now.

you'll probably need a noctua NHD14

$70 for a Silver Arrow? That is a good deal! If I had to do it all over again, I would have gotten the Silver Arrow over the NH-D14.

Silver Arrow not able to handle a 4.6Ghz OC? You must be a troll to say that.

OP, you better make sure you get a good mobo or you OC won't push past 4.5!

While I swear by the Hyper 212 plus or Evo it may not be enough now to handle the iCore 3rd gens with the high temps they can produce when you OC. The Noctua DH14 is nice though but it's huge and may be an issue depending on how much ram you're using.
