My New Rig! - BitFenix Prodigy, i7-3770k, HD 7970 Valor-X, etc :)

Thread Starter
Greetings,

I'd like to order some new stuff, but id like to have your guys opinion before i do so. Here is what i have in mind:

BitFenix Prodigy - "Note that this is a must!"
ASRock Z77E-ITX - "Not sure if i should pick the ASUS P8Z77-I Deluxe instead"
Intel Core i7-3770k - "Should i save some money and go with the i5-3570k instead?"
AMD Radeon HD 7970 Sapphire VAPOR-X - "Or should i pick a GTX 680 instead?"
Corsair H100i Liquid Cooling - "Is H100i worth the additional bucks over the H100?"
Corsair TX 550Watt PSU - "I believe this should be enough wattage?"
Corsair 16GB(2x8) Dominator Platinum RAM - "PewPew it has colors!"
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB HDD - "Already got this, no need to buy another one ^^"
Samsung 830 Series 128GB SSD - "Will 128GB be enough, or should i consider a 840 pro series upgrade?"

i will also order 2x additional fans for the H100i for push/pull effect, aswell as fill out the rest of the chassis with fans smile.gif

Whats your opinion? smile.gif

I highly recommend you go with the i5 instead. Save yourself some money, its already wicked fast.

120 gb should be enough, but it all depends on what you plan to put on it.

I recommend you go with GTX 660 Ti from EVGA, you cant go wrong wit h their customer service and personally I prefer Nvidia to AMD (But that's just me!)

The rest looks great!!

Happy hunting!

Looks good but i would get a Corsair AX power supply, the TX have extra cable that you will not use go for a fully modular psu

I think everything looks good, but i agree with willywill, pay a little more and get an AX psu.

If you want a modular PSU (and you should) get the Seasonic G or Rosewill Capstone instead of paying through the nose for an AX.
Seasonic G 550W
Rosewill Capstone 550M

And are you really considering spending $150+ on 16GB or RAM? You can spend half of that and not be able to tell any performance difference at all.

Not sure if you want a fully modular or partially modular but if you are looking for a fully modular one I'd go with this

Rosewill Capstone 550M is an excellent choice for this build.
