I agree Asus all the way. And the update their firm like clockwork on that thing. That is the lowest price at newegg also. Everywhere else is $160 - $170 for it. Thanks

You mean the Asus RT-AC66U, its a &200 router which is not cheap but the other day B&H Photo had it for like $115 that's a steal for like fastest router out right now

This is there 802.11AC chip or 5G from Broadcom

I'm on Verizon FiOS (15MB down / 5 up) with the Linksys AE6400 and a D-Link AC wireless card. I have no idea how it's done but I'm actually receiving 24 MB down and 5 up now that I'm using the AC router -- it blows anything and everything else I've used previously out of the water entirely., including the Asus RT-N66U. The AE6400 streams Blu-ray ISO into areas of my home that my previous N router couldn't come close to.

The wireless card part gets me honestly. You perhaps meant it is a Linksys EA6500? And I never had anything good come out a D-Link. But I'm glad it worked out for you with all those combinations. Thanks

Yes, the Linksys EA6500 . Correct, thank you. Sorry for that.

The D-link card was something I had on hand well before I got the new Linksys router so I've used it -- so far so good. I really cannot get over the increase in both range and speed I've received using the new AC standard.
