Build suggestions - Page 2

Don't get the Sabertooth though, it is no better than a P8Z77-V, which is $30-50 cheaper. The "thermal armor" doesn't do anything worthwhile.

Some nice suggestions here guys. StayFrosty aren’t ATI drivers a little problematic in crossfire? 2x 7970 sound nice but I would hate to deal with micro stuttering. I never really bothered with SLI/Xfire before because of drivers. I know my friend had a lot of issues with 460 SLI, so I’m kind of leaning towards maybe just one 7970 (or 680). For motherboard I’d like to stick with Asus since they haven’t let me down with my last two PCs. The 700w PSU I chose because if I ever found a cheap 2nd card for sli/xfire, or even end up winning one for 3-way sli/xfire, it’s nice to have a little breathing room.

I appreciate the help. I’ve been switching parts around looking at different builds to do for weeks now and I’m just never sure. I take a long time to commit to big purchase, I like to make sure everything is perfect. Those rumor threads on the GTX 7xx and ATI 8 series don’t help much also (lol). This is also going to be the first build I’m doing myself. Normally I get them prebuilt from sites like avadirect.com, so any tips would be great. I’ve done pretty much everything except put a processor in a mobo and attached a heat sink.
