Is it possible to mix and match monitors for surround/eyefinity?

i know its best to be same brand same model..

but if i have one 1440p and i wanna buy 2 more, can the other two be a different brand? will the colors be too different? is there a way where i can figure out how to make it kinda the same?

i have an overlord tempest, amazing monitor but might not have stock for awhile. my gf is debating getting me another or two monitors for xmas, so i might just get one soon. is there any semi-glossy screens out there that might work to get 2 of and make it surround?

thanks for the help guys

okay sounds good. biggrin.gif i guess that clears my head then.

also would you know if which mounting will be good that i will be able to overlap the monitor's bezels so it isn't double thick? would i have to get the mountings that have arms that move? i'm not very familiar with how these mountings work

I'm using two different brands in my set up All that matters is the screen size and resolution. So long as those are the same Eyefinity will work properly.

Mods can't be repped biggrin.gif just one of the little joys. Glad to help.

Though be sure you have and active display port adapter or your monitor has a display port.

Ahh I see. i assumed you have ATI. Eyefinity is an ATI term. Surround is what you are looking for when talking about Nvidia. I'm not sure what connection requirements are for Nvidia but I don't believe you need an adapter.
