Ive picked the Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 Full Copper as the rads, now im just trying to figure out if i can fit a triple or quad length one into the top of my HAF X, looking at mm of spare room and a bunch of case cutting lol

LOL! Going seriously overboard on the first build eh? Me too. biggrin.gif It's hard NOT to when you're getting into this stuff for the first time. Hell I'm only cooling the CPU and a single GPU and I've spent too much already! The next thing you'll probably consider is a bigger case. smile.gif I bought a CM Storm Trooper and returned it in favor of something a bit more rad-friendly (Corsair 800D). I had a HAF932 before that, and I can't see a quad fitting in there without cutting (not sure how different the HAF-X is). But if you're willing to hack the case up, that opens your options up considerably.

If you're looking for some case mod inspiration, check out the MNPC videos: http://www.mnpctech.com/index.html. The MNPC guys do EXCELLENT videos on their case projects. VERY entertaining (and informative) to watch these guys work. They have a ball doing it and it shows.

Thanks Bart, thats an awesome link. the Hafs are both similar so yes ill be cutting a bit as u may know from looking at ur own. I kind of wish i had gone for 800D for this build but it was wayy too expensive when i was buying this computer last year. I also dont like half assing this stuff so im will to put a few extra dollars into a build biggrin.gif

We sound alike. smile.gif I never skimp on the important stuff either. You're being smarter by cutting up the HAFX, assuming you don't goof and end up needing a new one. tongue.gif Those HAFs have fat tops, so I wonder if it you could fit 140/280/420 rads?

I did my first build back in July and went with a UT-60 after flip flopping about 10 different times. Just have a single row of XSPC 2000RPM fans in push, not really sure I need pull since the rad spacing is very low. All in all I spent probably 700-1000 on my build including a new case.

For red fittings, look for Bitspower fittings.

I guess it's a matter of taste, but I like Monsoon fittings. I'm fixing to redo my first watercooling set up. (yes, put a lot of thought into it. It really gets expensive buying everything twice) and I'm going with black hose and Gold Monsoon fittings. See what you think of these red fittings.

Yea, I'm doing 4.5 on the CPU with a Raystorm block usually around 55C stressed and 885-900 on my 570 with temps never cracking 45C using a Heatkiller black and nickel block.
