Quite 140 Case Fans

So, after looking at the stickies it seems they are slightly outdated. I have a Switch 810. I'm thinking of throwing a NF-P140 in the front (since you can't see it) and AF 140's in the top/back (with the white rings). I would prefer if I could find some white bladed fans that perform as well as noctua's/corsair but they those two seem untouchable for 140mm?

Title should say "quiet" sorry, it was like 2am when I posted that.

The Thermalright TY-140 and the Corsair are probable the best 140mm fans. The only white-bladed 140mm fan I know of is the white version of the Bitfenix Spectre (Pro) fan series, but those are not quiet.

Looks like I'm going with Corsair for visible fans and Noctuas for non-visible ones, thanks smile.gif

I like Thermalright TY-140 series fans and use same PWM control for case as for cooler fans. Keeps things almost silent (can't hear it) for normal use and not even close to loud when working it all out.

All TY-140 series but TY-143 are 600-1300rpm on PWM. I know they say 800 or 900rpm to 1300rpm in specs but in use they idle 600-650rom no problem. TY-143 is the one on steroids with 2500rpm top speed but if you keep below 1300rpm you can't tell the difference in a dark room. biggrin.gif
TY-145 & TY-147 are black housing with white fan.

Housing is different than other 140mm fans and uses 120mm mounting holes. Measurements are for all TY-140 series. Others are TY-140, TY-141, TY-143 and TY-147

What are the acoustics like compared to the Corsair fans?

Compared to U12P stock fans I think a little quieter.. They were 120mm vs 140mm on same cooler so not really a good comparison. But that's all I can honestly say about it as I haven't tried them side by side

Arctic Cooling and Fractal Design make nice looking white fans, although I have not used them (Airdeano may be a better help regarding the Fractal). As a fellow Switch owner, I know the PITA that is finding good white fans (even harder for rads). I would personally suggest getting the Corsair SP120 for intake fans (if you like Corsair), as the static pressure will be of greater benefit in that location than just CFM.

If you don't mind waiting, the BitFenix Spectre Pro PWM 140mm fans will be available sometime soon, and they are looking to be awesome. 122cfm at maximum speed, good pressure, and good looks.

The NZXT FZ140RB are also an option: 1krpm and 86cfm.
