mATX Motherboard help!

Thread Starter
I'm current running a full tower system with an AMD FX 8120 @ 3.8ghz and a CM 212+ Now there's nothing wrong with this build, I just hate lugging around a full tower whenever I want to move my computer.

I've made up my mind I'm moving to the NXZT Vulcan for my main computer's case, all my extra hard drives & raid setup will have to go, I already have an SSD, for all of that.

Now obviously my full sized ASRock 990FX Extreme 3 will not fit. I don't know much about selecting the "right" motherboard, I've been eyeing this GIGABYTE mATX motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128565

My Current System Specs:

AMD FX 8120 @ 3.8ghz Cooled w/ CM Hyper 212+
12GB of DDR3 RAM
AMD HD 6970 @ 950mhz
ASRock 990FX Extreme3
Nzxt Whisper Full Tower.

If all goes well by the end of the week I will have a mATX Case & my entire system inside of powered by some mATX motherboard.

If someone suggests Intel with an unlocked i5 I'll think about it. But I seriously doubt I'm going to break my streak of AMD devices, after all, my 386 is AMD, my string of random & old laptops are all AMD, and my main rig is AMD, and all of my previous builds for me were AMD.

I'm actually trying to do the same thing. I want to go from my full atx case to a matx case with my amd chip. This motherboard just went on sale if you're still looking for a motherboard.

Biostar a880gz

I believe its 3+1 phased mobo, but if you'll be running stock speeds you should be okay. Your cpu is also listed on their support list for motherboards.

Yeah I just pulled the trigger on the motherboard that I selected it was cheap & had some excellent reviews from OCN and other places. Not to mention the MOSFETS have heatsinks, so I'm hoping for 4.2-4.5 stable on my FX-8120 and a Hyper 212+ As my current build is holding 4.6 right now.
