I have this Old Rig

Intel Dual Core E2140 @ 2.66 ghz (Overclock) Stock Cooler
Palit GTS 450 Sonic Overclocking edition @ core clock 900 - memory clock 2000 - shader clock 1800
Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2
Seagate Barracuda 320 Gb 7200 rpm
Kingston DDR3 1333 Mhz 2 Gb 2 pieces
Generic 500W PSU 80% eff

I was playing Assassins Creed Revolution @ 25 FPS @ settings all high 8x multi sampling 720p. When i happen to realize setting the details low to gain some FPS... This really surprise me @ the same scene where my FPS is 25 @ high its the same @ low setting... I was getting 30+ max and 18 minimum... I was using Fraps...

So... you think my processor bottleneck my GPU?

if so I am planning to upgrade to i3 - 3220 + H61 Mobo of some kind I'll just leave the others that way cause I'm on a tight budget... Planning on Getting a GTX 660 after the upgrade...

What do you think does the i3 - 3220 bottlenecks the GTX 660? if not then it's the way to go for me... and I think I need a new PSU smile.gif

Thank you for answering any suggestion on my road to upgrade is surely Welcome well many heads are better than 1...

And it's a Budget Gaming rig... Thanks again

If you are on a budget maybe AMD has more bang for the buck cpu wise.
I haven't done too much studying of benchmarks etc, this is just what i've heard.
Can you give an idea of your budget? Maybe we can get you a build together smile.gif

Simply your PC specs is not good enought :(

Upgrading CPU and mobo is ofc great idea.

i3 CPU is minimum for gaming but it works  better than I imagine.

But even you upgrade cpu and mobo now  ....dont exepct high improvments in preformance  cuz GPU will hold you back alot until you get gtx660 or better.

What about one of the Intel chips with the HD graphics? I don't know much about them, so I can't really say much on it, but may be worth looking into, the integrated graphics could tide you over until you rebuild your budget
