I used to run my 7970 with a 955 BE on BF3 Ultra High worked fine at around 50-60FPS when i went to 3770k i hit around 70-80FPS wink.gif

So your processor was a bottleneck of around 20%. That's quite a lot dude.

If you're overclocking, an 8350 would be sufficient. There was a thread recently showing an FX 8350 only falling a little behind a 3750k with 2 7970s that got locked because so much trolling. I'll let you guess where most of it came from.

That is something you would want to do eventually, but I doubt it would have any noticeable effects whatsoever to his current system.

hello,
what kind of cpu cooler have you got please?
it could be an idea to get a good one and gain a bit of overclock out of your cpu. you would want that for the fx 8xxx, as its hot like a nuclear reactor meltdown at stock clock, let alone overclocked.

Download Speccy or AMD Overdrive Utility, or go into Bios when pc is starting and look at RAM settings
