Hello


I have the pc on the signature and i was thinking about overclocking the cpu. However, i have no idea how to do so...


Can you please link me some useful threads about it?

your motherboard should possibly come with an overclocking suite on the drivers disk, however if it does not you can easily do it in the bios, there should be an "optimized overclockng" where you select the desired clock speed and then save and exit. when doing this i suggest you go up in small amounts of around 200 mhz and run a stress test untill you find failures and errors then revert back to the previous safe clock speed

i've googled a bit about overclocking. Can you explain me the RAM part? how does it interact with the oc etc.

go to advanced settings then at the top there should be "cpu overclock" set to auto, change this to the desired clock speed

as this is a 2.8 ghz processor i would reccommend starting at 3.2 ghz and then work up with 100 mhz increments

you should be able to choose whether you want the ram to overclock along with the cpu although you need to make sure you do not set the ram to a higher speed than the recommended speed, unless this is dedicated overclocking ram,

How so? My ram is a Team elite DDR3 1600 2x2GB. How about timings, voltage etc? I think my ram only has the 667 and 800mhz on the bios, but i may be seeing it wrong


Edit... oh... and i have a scythe mugen 2 rev.b
