As always... YMMV

I'd like to make an amendment to my previous post.. I just ordered the Roccat Savu, and a new Taito pad.
Newegg had just sold out of the Savu, so I grabbed one for the same price off Amazon. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with the Savu!

The Naos is a very comfortable mouse, but it uses an older optical sensor (still good though).
DeathAdder's a good choice, I'd recommend the 2013 purely based on the side grips (I don't know if the sensor's that much better than the 3.5G).
Kone's ok, the sensor does have slight accel but you probably won't notice it. People have reported the scroll wheel breaking though, so if you're settled on the Kone then I'd personally wait to get the Kone Xtd or Kone Pure. Not sure if they'll be out in NA by Christmas though, might wanna look on Ebay if you're set on that.

Sure, I'm a huge fan of the Naos ergonomics, the shell provides support for all five of your fingers. You'll be gaming for hours on end tongue.gif
Enjoy

i don't think i'm expert enough to even use 6500 dpi lol but would the naos 5000 be a better choice than the 3200? just wondering if the more i become an expert with good mouse the more dpi i'll need?

Logitech MX518 or or the updated mx518 known as the G400.

possibly the best mice ever, solid and reliable and doesn't break after a year like certain mice..... *COUGH* RAZER *COUGH*

had my mx518 for about 5-6 years now, been through at least 4 Razer mice in the past 2 years alone.. and i do treat my PC stuff with care, im not a violent gamer lol.

sure they may not be the prettiest mice out there, but they will last you a whole lot longer than any other mouse.

The 5000 isn't really better then the 3200. Both sensors have their flaws. The 5000 sensor has acceleration within 5%, but the 3200 has angle snapping. I'd just choose a Naos mouse for it's incredibly shape. DPI isn't related to how "expert" you are with a mouse. Most pro players use lower to mid dpi because it's just easier to control. There are a few twitch gamers that use a ridiculously high DPI but I can never see the point. Just in case you're wondering, the sensor on the Black also has acceleration within 5%. The most popular mice with perfect sensors (no pos, neg accel, prediction) are - Roccat Savu, Razer DeathAdder, Logitech G400, Zowie EC1 EVO. All the modern laser mice have some acceleration. I don't find it too noticeable, and you probably won't either, so if you want you can go with the 5000 over the 3200 if you think you'll be annoyed more by angle snapping than accel. Of course you can also go for another mouse like the G400, etc though. Take your time and decide from the ergonomics, build, etc. Just wondering if you know what DPI your current mouse is set at and if you'll comfortable with it, that'll probably help. Also, do you want a bigger, smaller, heavier, lighter mouse?
Edit: Nevermind, was wrong about the Black, it uses a PTE. PTE's pretty good, but it has a lift off issue where if you lift the mouse the cursor skips down and to the right a bit.

i use my current mouse at 1200 dpi and its ok. I think a big and lightweight would be perfect. Even though i can't tell if a mouse has angle snapping, i think i would mind less about accel than angle snapping.

thank you all! now lets see what santa brings me wink.gif
