I think you hsould be fine at 4.6 ghz on a ivy bridge cpu and also 4.6 is already super pro mine is 3.5 tongue.gif

Yeah I did some IBT passes like 25 somethin short on very high and it passed just fine it hit 101c lol but doesnt matter because i mainly game and hav been playing bf3 and gw2 for months at this voltage and doesnt pass 80c, also will do 4.8 around 1.35v and these chips run completely fine up to 90-95c 24/7.
Imo if your like me and buy a new cpu every 6-8 months or so then why not oc the piss out of it. I usually end up selling my replaced cpu to friends for cheap or free.

I run mine at 4.9 as well but my temps are under 75 degrees when priming and about 55 degrees gaming. De-lidded of course.

I do want to try lowering the volts before i let her run for a longer period of time though smile.gif this is hot!
Vcore@1.40V, CPU PLL voltage @ 1.65V and the Internal PLL overvoltage enabled
i think if u want to run 5 ghz u need to join us here http://www.overclock.net/t/1313179/official-delidded-ivy-bridge-club
i can run 4.8 @1.26v for 5ghz i need 1.38v i dont think u will be able to lower voltage much like von dutch said looks like your on the line of stable and crash. also i would not let those temps go over 85c

I'm at 4.7 3 hours small FFT Prime stable, but I would like to either get a little higher or lower the voltage. I don't think I was blessed with a decently binned chip, so I might be stuck at 4.6 GHz. I haven't increased the VCore much higher than it is and I lock up or BSOD at 4.8 after about 3-5 minutes of small FFT. I may delid eventually, but for now I may play around with different pressure levels on my raystorm. Temps aren't bad, but I would hope for them to be lower with this radiator....
I also haven't changed PLL voltage or anything else besides VCore and LLC.

Your vcore seems fine. You can do up to 1.45v

It's ok, but others are hitting my speed with lower VCore. I'm definitely going higher if I can without too much VCore. I'm not going to be folding or anything...most intensive thing I'll be doing is compiling from source.

Hey Guys.

Been reading through this thread, and I'm a bit curious to know if my temps are a bit high? This is the first time I'm overclocking ever, so forgive me for any obvious mistakes I might have made..!

As you can see, when i run Prime95 torture test 'Small FFTs, maximum FPU stress I hit around 82C on all cores. It seems a bit high, reading through what you guys get. Is that because use the Small FFT torture test? Any advice on my config appreciated!

I'll post a validation from CPU-Z, might make things a bit easier for you guys to help out then?
http://valid.canardpc.com/2685722

EDIT: This is only after 20min or so stress testing, so temps are bound to get higher. I'm using a Corsair H80i with 2 Noctua NF-F12 fans on 50%

If you are planning to just leave it alone then the temps are ok. But I would not overclock any further without addressing that the temps are in fact very high for that clockspeed. It seems you would need to de-lid your chip to go further. Also 1.256 for 4.4 is high as well in my opinion.

Ok, I have been planning to get a proper water cooling loop set up, so I'm going to wait and see where that brings me temp wise. I haven't fine tuned yet, so that Voltage might be 'over the top' for that clock speed. Will try and see if I can bring it down lower
