[Guru3D] Intel Haswell Core i7 and Core i5 specs leak onto the web - Page 2

I call a fake - as Outcasst says, their leading chip would have VT, no doubt. Also, it only gains 400MHz on turbo? That's poor.

And the i5's need HT, why would they remove that feature? Is this because they have 4 physical core instead of 2? Meh, I'll pass on this if those are the features you get for that TDP

They all have the same integrated graphics and slightly higher TDP?

That's odd.Glad to see its all native quad's though.

Assuming this is accurate.

Btw, What's intel SIPP?

K chips didn't have VT-d last gen either, or the gen before. That's nothing new. They do support virtualization in general though, and have in the past had VT-x. VT-x is not VT-d. i5's also don't have HT traditionally, at least not on 4 physical core chips.

Interesting...

I was just about to mention this. Looks like they upgraded the graphics core and the TDP went up. Doesn't seem like we will see any improvement on the CPU sides of thing, but I hope to be proven wrong.

Interesting...

There was a rumor that Haswell is supposed to have on board VRM's so this may make TDP higher? Not sure, just taking a shot in the dark here ha.

If those specs are real, not impressed. It seems that they are really slowing down chip progression, due to upcoming wall. Looks like I will be sitting on this 2700k for quite awhile, until it becomes a bottleneck... Lol

None of the k-series cpus have had VT-d (2500k, 2600k, 2700k, 3570k, 3770k, 3930k). Only the X-series have the fully unlocked multiplier and VT-d. It's one of intel's ways of getting people to buy those expensive chips. Same thing with the i5's and HT. They haven't had it for 2 generations now.

That being said, it looks like there really isn't much of a reason to upgrade from sandy or ivy as long as you aren't using integrated graphics.

VT-x = virtualization

There will be an improvement in CPU. Haswell is new architecture

Guess the only real question will be, how high can you OC that 3.5GHz 4770K chip.
