Any EA game you are going to have go through Origin...just a fact of life. Just like any Steamworks game will go through Steam. Heh, just like how any Ubisoft game requires you to have a former Russian Spetsnaz watching you play the game to make sure you don't accidentally break their EULA.

Many die hards are on the fence about this game i guess. But I for one like the idea of multiplayer. I'm excited to pick this up. A bit expensive though
