PSU Wattage question

On pcpartpicker it says the estimated usage on my build on it is about 360W. But on newegg, the system requirements for my HIS 7850 needs a minimum 500W PSU. The PSU I already have is a 450W, should I buy another with at least 500W or is the one I have okay?

You're fine. Newegg is a)inflating needed wattage to see you more expensive components and/or b)taking into account crap power supplies that lie about their true capacity & making sure that doesn't screw you over.

Then again, you didn't mention what PSU you have, so maybe you got suckered by a piece of crap that can't deliver 450w.

Depends on what your psu is but for the most part, it should be fine

The PSU is fine. Your RAM has spiky heatspreaders that will prevent a tower heatsink from being installed if you get one later though. And it's probably worth it to pay the extra $10 to get an fx-4300 instead of the previous-gen fx-4170.

Oh I know, thanks though haha! Unfortunately I received the processor and a few other things as gifts so I had limited customization. But thanks for the input on the PSU, I was nervous I had to buy another one!
