Max Overclock 3800+ Athlon 64 X2, HP?

What could I overclock my cpu to? My psu is 300W, and came with my HP. Here's my motherboard. I don't want to buy any fans or anything else. And I know HP cases don't cool very well. Any information is greatly appreciated.

I'd avoid overclocking. 51ºC idling? Sounds really bad. My 4400+ used to idle at 25ºC. BEsides temps, a 300W PSU is probably too low for you, and your motherboard doesn't even have VRM heatsinks, which means it'll have a hard time providing your CPU a high current.

Right, forgot to check the temp before posting. I heard 55 C was the highest it should go. Thank you for the information. It made a lot of sense.

I'm sorry to say what you probably didn't want to read, but in your case you risk the whole computer. I think you would not notice an extra hundred of MHz.

To view your max CPU case temp I think you can use CoreTemp.

I was interested in running a few games where my cpu speed was lacking. 100 extra mhz probably won't meet the minimum requirements for those games. And it's too much of a risk either way, as you've noted. There's still plenty of games to choose from though. Thank you for the link, bookmarked for later.
