AMD Phenom II 550 BE x2 (3.1Ghz)

I got the CPU to 3.8 Ghz @ 1.488 V.(CPUid says 1.5v) Multiplier @ 19. Air cooled.(44C ambient 23C) NB still @ 2000. What is the next ideal step? Raising to 2200? MB = POS Biostar 880G+.
Somehow I opened up all the cores and it would speedily get through post until it hit windows. Bios options are limited to me to open a third core. So it is back to 2 core. Ideas, links?

Played with the ram today:

http://valid.canardpc.com/2613627

Would not go stable at 7,8,7,24, or 8,8,8

Is the new setting "better" than the 11,11,11? I am not savvy with ram timings.

You might be coming up on the limit of these things. The 555's were the first ones that were hitting 4.0 pretty regularly and while the 550's were doing very well, not a lot of them were hitting the sought after 4 GHz mark that much.

The CPU/NB definitely needs to come up a good bit. Phenoms really start to come into their stride when you crank this up. 2600 would be a good number to aim for. Keep the HT Link down to around 1800 instead of the stock 2000. This had no effect on the chip's performance so slowing it down can help with the stability a little. Keep ACC off.
