maybe a different motherboard?

Looks great for what you are tryn to do. Personally I have had great luck with ASUS, so I tend to lean that way. With what you have listed as uses and what you have put together you will be very pleased. thumb.gif

last question... is this a problem?

MINOR ISSUE
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports.

I just plug the wires from my case into my 3.0 header. tbh I don't know if it makes any difference, my ipod doesn't seem to notice.

It's only a problem in that you won't be able to use USB 3.0 functionality in the front panel. Some USB 3.0 devices (if not all) will work, but you'll loose out on the bonus speed/power delivery.

I've heard that this case is pretty good save for a minor issue with CPU power cable routing.

every body argues over these all the time. here is the truth the 3570k is faster then the 2500k if you overclock the 3570k to 4.6 its the same as having the 2500k overclocked at 5.0, So yes the 2500k overclocks higher but the 2500k at 5.0 cant beat a 3570k at 4.6 plus if you go with the 3570k and a Z77 board you get pci E 3.0 witch will future prof your system more then the 2500k

Yes, the motherboard has internal USB 2.0 headers so you can plug the USB 2.0 on the case into the MB.

I also would recommend that you purchase the motherboard from newegg.com only in that you'll get 8GB of quality RAM for free if you do, thus lowering to total cost.
