[The Tech Report] Does the Radeon HD 7950 stumble in Windows 8? - Page 20

That's like me predicting that your conclusion is that the 660Ti is better than anything AMD has ever or will ever make...

It's dependent on when your card was made.

Fair enough, I've been known to criticize AMD, and make NO apologies for it, I call things as I see them.

Pop Quiz: Was I wrong about Bulldozer?

Yet, that has never stopped me from owning AMD hardware, or planning a new 5800K build, that's how much of an Intel fanboy I am. rolleyes.gif

btw - when I said "No offense", I meant it. Wasn't trying to flame him or anything, but I'm aware with what he posts the majority of the time.

I can predict your conclusion now: The 7950 is much better than the 660TI.
At this point, the only thing that's going to settle this is to have other 3rd party reviews do similar testing methodologies.

Pardon me if I sound a little angry, but I JUST BOUGHT AN EVGA GTX 660 TI FTW SIGNATURE 2!!! I would appreciate it if you guys give me a little more credit than that and don't just shrug me off like little children that got picked last for the baseball team. Putting words in my mouth is about as worthless to me as it is reading through nearly 200 posts worth of fanboy drivel.

I just bought a $300 video card because I wanted to, not because I feel like I have to settle some personal vendetta that people in this thread have suddenly decided that they're going to have because Tech Report found something that doesn't add up in your minds. Do you feel me on this? Trust me... I did not get this card to be famous, popular, or to appease ANYONE in this thread. I got it because I wanted to get it and because my current 5870 is starting to age. I've been with AMD for the last 3 generations, and now, I think it's time for a change.

By the way, I was with nvidia for EVERY generation before I got my wife an HD 4870, so don't give me that crap about being biased or a fanboy. I will make an impartial decision based on experience once I received the card. If the 660 Ti is smoother, I will notice it. If it isn't, I will notice that too... and trust me, I will post results one way or another. thumb.gif

Same thing could be said about you if the roles were reversed.

I don't think you're that bad, but if you're going to question his objectivity, expect yours to come under fire as well.

I don't agree with him on everything, particularly the JF-AMD bashing, but heaven forbid someone criticize AMD. They're far too babied by ignorant hardware enthusiasts.

2010rig simply isn't afraid to go against the grain, and that doesn't make him biased. In fact, it does the opposite.
This. It's caused by a bad batch of caps. I'd say most cards are unaffected.

Yes. I ran out of the camp and then through the jungle. Fired a couple of shots at some dingos, looked all around in a circle, watched some guy drive by, etc. Nothing specific, just tooling around the jungle.

Vsync off.

Here's the one with Adaptive Vsync on from last night. Same settings but different place though.
