I have got a rough budget of £550, and i was wandering if you think this is a good price for these parts and if they are worthwhile buying.

Iwouldn't go with such a powerful graphics card. If I were you I'd go for a 7600GT, a Gigabyte DS3 and a Core 2 Duo E6300. It will definitely be more well balanced than the 945 2/7950GT imo, and with DX10 coming up soon.. no point spending over a third of your budget on a graphics card.

Everything there looks good however i would get a lower End G-card as DX10 is out and also with the money you will have from getting say a 7600GT as suggested you can get another 1gb of ram perhaps.
Yeah I would also agree

It seems a better idea maybe to get a lower end card for now then upgrade it next year when DX10 is more implimented.

Get a Core2Duo and maybe upgrade to 2gb with the difference in GPU price.
