Asrock FM2A75M-ITX Motherboard Fire - Page 18

Just dont stress the igpu and the vrms should be fine. The one that overheats is the one on tthe left and its the sole one for the igpu. Also, ive been using this motherboard with a a4-5300 instead of my a10-5800 and its running fine now.

Here will be the off-topic. At the beginning of the thread, I've posted info about my dead board. I've got another one - the upgraded Asrock FM2A85X-ITX.

So, since the end of February till today 24*7 work time with A10-5800K

nice... biggrin.gif looks like it's not many time left, signs of flux because of heat + two first mosfets are dark roast like a coffee beans

Man I thought mine was going to last. Bought mine 27 Oct 12 and fried this weekend. Picture of the carnage.

My board is still going, after adding the custom made heatsink.

I am now using an external GPU though, and the VRM temps are normal - as the iGPU is disabled (I don't technically need the heatsink anymore for this reason, however, I have kept it in place as well as the fan .. just in case.. =)

The iGPU is pretty much what causes the problem since it's the VRM for the iGPU which lights on fire.

so my board after a year of faithful gaming it finally went cactus.

after all the precautions that i took including VRM sinks and undervolting still wouldnt prevent it from burning up, atlest the fire patch is a tiny dot and not a massive charred area.

has anyone got the REV02 version of it?

honestly, ditch that crap. I got the x85 version on this board after, and i loved it. Never had a problem. I linked you the x88 chipset one so youll be able to go fm2+ if you choose so later on.
