Elitebook 8460p vs Asus k55a ? Build Quality vs Performance

Thread Starter
Hi everyone!

My time as gamer has died a log time ago, so i want to get rid of my bulky desktop computer and buy a Laptop.
The Laptop will be running a GNU/Linux OS. And the average use will be internet browsing and KVM Virtualization for Lab/testing purposes.
Also, I want this notebook to last at least 3 years.

Currently im between 2 particular models (i live in South America and there isnt as many models and updated as in USA / first world).

HP EliteBook 8460p:
I5 2410m
4gb
14" NON glossy.

Asus K55a:
I5 3210m
8gb
15,6" glossy.

I know that this are two VERY different notebook.
Asus has a better performance and an Ivy Bridge CPU. However, the Elitebook has a superb build quality, and a non glossy screen, which for me is a pro.
Asus' one is slightly cheaper.

Personally, if the performance difference between both isnt really big, im a bit more attracted to the Elitebook.
But what should I do?

Im open to suggestions!
Thanks in advance!!

The Asus is the better choice. They tend to make higher quality machines overall. They're considerably better than HP.
