Uhh yeah they're obviously all just 'trying' it, I'm sure most of them will end up buying it after, right?

Hey free publicity from being pirated..... I will have to check out this game now.
Thank you pirates you are making the devs more money as per usual.
People that actual complain about the pirates are about as smart as the RIAA.

This just seems to me the dev trying to drive up more sales by dropping the words "pirated" and "extraordinary" even though neither of those things apply here.

The title of this article doesn't even make sense and it's based purely off speculation. What exactly constitutes as an extraordinary level of pirating? How do they even know it's extraordinary if they have no statistics to back this claim up? Lastly, pirating statistics are impossible to determine without a large degree of error, and are thus always inaccurate.
Just another sensationalist article with the word 'pirating' in it. Next.

Don't get all hot and bothered.

There are sane people out there who don't view this as a black and white issue like most seem too.

I'll make sure to check with the RIAA and MPAA for those numbers. Who was it that asked for 7 Trillion dollars again....?

Oh yea.... damn those pirates for not spending more money than the GDP of one of the world largest countries.

The game was on sale a week or two ago on Steam for $5. Bought it because it looked cool, but haven't played it yet.

It's really a shame that games are pirated at all. There are no excuses for people to pirate games... if they don't like the developer for some reason, then just don't play the game. If someone doesn't have the money to buy a game, then frankly they have their priorities wrong because there are a lot more important things they should be doing with their time.

We aren't all teenagers who can only enjoy mindblowing 3D you know. And we can thank the pirates once more for killing the PC as a gaming platform, somehow PC elitists whine about their games all the time, demand extra features just because they feel entitled to it, and everytime a good game like this one is released pirate it to death. That's the PC master race for you.

Never heard of hotline miami before this post. One would think the makers of a marginal and ignored game like this would be happy to see anyone playing their game. A pirate isn't a lost sale but a potential customer.
