Thinking of replacing 23" TN for 23" IPS, will I see a big difference?

As the title says I have my eye on this Viewsonic 23" IPS display on sale at newegg for $169.99.

This is my current 23" TN panel...

Acer H235Hbmid Black 23" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor

I am wondering if it is truly worth it to go from TN to IPS. I hear IPS is the way to go but will it be worth the hassle of selling my current monitor?

Is that Viewsonic good? I always hear about Catleap (sp?) and other Korean brands but I saw this one on sale and it appears to have good reviews (albeit only 14 total). What do you guys think?

I don't think I've ever seen an IPS in action to make this call.

What are you doing on it? Also, you could run double monitors biggrin.gif

That IPS has 7ms response time, in FPS games you will notice the difference and loss of quality.

I noticed the difference on my IPS when playing FTS games...

Make sure you get a IPS with low ms... I got 2 Dell IPS monitors 23 inch displays but they were really bad... T_T

Gaming and general use mostly. Really? 7ms from 2ms will yield a noticeable difference?

little difference speaking in practise.

Colors will be better, and and you will have a easier time watching youtube videos with other people since everyone doesn't ahve to be directly behind the screen.

The difference isn't worth the hassle to buy a new monitor and sell your old one IMO.

Not worth it IMO.

IPS monitors have ghosting (Although not very noticable), the colours aren't noticable to a normal gamer/user and of course it'll be a latency increase which you may notice.
And yes, as you can see I have an IPS and I still don't really recommend them unless people need them for photography.
