Hey guys, I built a friend of mine a computer a few weeks ago and it was running perfect according to my mate. However he said that the computer shutdown randomly from a surge. The system specs are:

i5 3570K with stock cooler (upgrade cooler later)
G.Skill Ripjaw 8gb
Corsair TX650
Gainward GTX 670 Phantom
CoolerMaster HAF-XM
Samsung 830 128gb
WD Blue 500G
LiteOn DVD Drive

I will try and get more information but that is all I know so far. Does anyone know what may of caused the problem?

Surge protection, PFC controller saw sudden increase in voltage, shut down the PSU for safety.
