Future proof is just a Dream.....it doesn't exists. It all about the resale value IMO. Buy what ever card will hold its value down the road and compare it with your needs today.

Sleeping Dogs eats VRAM like crazy i had problems even maxing it out even in 1080P yet alone 1440P
The good old Crysis 1 and the newer Sniper Elite and Just Cause 2 are games i am having trouble with maxing out in 1440P
And last why in the world would you go from 1920x1080 to 1920x1200 there is almost zero reason to that 1920x1200 is a dying resolution not many are making monitors in that resolution any more you would be far better off either with a 120MHz 1080P monitor or even better a 2560x1440 monitor like the Asus PB278Q that i have

I agree, i intend to keep with my ASUS 1080p monitor. All i was saying is if for some completely unexplainable reason the standard switched i will just move over to the standard. (It does seem kind of silly to buy a whole new monitor for a bit more space for word docs, when you could just add another 1080p monitor for web browsing, and text editing or whatever you fancy tongue.gif )

Actually it went from 1920x1200 to 1920x1080 not the other way around the reason for it is that computer monitors where 16:10 while TV´s where 16:9 so instead of having both they deceived to scrap the 16:10 and go to 16:9 for computer monitors

What? My rig handles FC3 maxxed out just fine at around 50 fps, my system certainly isn't melting or having any problems running the game whatsoever.

Very nice, then the people complaining about FC3 destroying their GPU and only getting 25/30 fps must be doing something wrong. Let me see if i can get any hep from a technical support center... Okay, here we go i was told by them "Might i recommend checking if you have power going to your computer." tongue.gif

Maybe those people have less than adequate GPUs maybe? I dunno, but I think my fps has only dropped into the mid 40s, I get worse drops in Borderlands 2. And FC3 looks simply gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
