Another option, DAS Keyboard, as well as the Ducky. DAS and Ducky both offer backlighting, I don't believe Filco does as of yet.

Who need backlighting when you have ninja keys? biggrin.gif

Would you consider a used card ? It's a shame you aren't interested in AMD. IMO the 7950 is hard to beat this generation in terms of price for performance. You could get yourself a nice used 3gb 580 and a beastly filco with that budget. The 660TI Power Edition is a very nice card as well. You could pull off a used 670 with that budget I think. Check the marketplace. Used 670 and a ducky shine gets my vote. thumb.gif

The Meka G1 is a heavy weight i highly recommended the only thing is that it doesn't have backlighting, if you need that you can look at the Mionix Zibal 60

Some key pointers on looking for a mechanical keyboard:
  • Palm rest that is at the same level of the keyboard and not some foam crap on the side
  • the form of the keys to use. If you are used to the more modern key shapes of the keyboard, most mechanical keyboards outside of the G80-3600 (Cheery), is not for you.

Just grab a second (sorry, was thinking you should keep the 7870) 7950 and overclock that puppy to GTX680 performance. Or have fun with custom bio's and stoof.

this is basically what replaced the Filco here in the US and I highly recommend these keyboards solid quality. http://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=leopold,fullsize&pid=fc500rrab or any cherry switch variant

So? do you own one?

Because I do and it is pretty solid, it is cherry switches mounted on a metal plate solid construction removable cables? Believe me their are worst mechanical keyboards out there.
