Thanks for the words....only question I have is when nvidia releases there next line of cards do you think they will future proof say two three years? I'm just hoping they have 3 gb ram on each.

...you're missing my point.

Money might be an issue for him a few months from from now. NOT buying an i7 saves him money, whether its an "issue" or not.

AMD and Nvidia come out with cards every year. there is no way to future prof a video card but if you wait then the 700 series will be faster then the 600 series but the cards that are out right now are really fast both AMD and Nvidia make great cards

but he obviously knows he will be good for the future because doesnt have any money issues with this one and is willing so again money is out of the question, the whole thing is out of question, past, present, and future.

I don't see why all the arguing over buying an i7 this place is full of people that have overkill setups I could see where you are coming from if I was buying a 3960x or something but not a ivy i7.. And with me mainly gaming I'm hoping to get a solid 2 years minimum out of this CPU probably longer..

Question about my SSD, if I put Steam onto it will it automatically play all my games on it through the SSD?

If you download them through steam, yes.
