Gaming PC for USD 800-1000$ - Page 6

OP do not buy a used card. Go for a new Sapphire HD 7950 boost or PCS+ Myst HD 7870 Tahiti LE card.

the Sapphire HD 7950 boost comes with 3 awesome games. I have finished playing Sleeping Dogs and Hitman Absolution. both are nice games. Currently downloading Farcry 3. these games are well reviewed. If you don't want to play these games you can easily sell the game coupons for 60 - 70 bucks.

I've purchased used cards plenty of times, there is absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing a used card. Regardless of what you think or have to say about it. $300 is not within his budget, $264 is. Amazon also offers a 30 day money back return policy on their used items. Which makes it even more reliable to judge whether or not the card is in good working condition.

Sure he can later on sell the game bundle off of eBay and make his money back, but that still requires him to spend money initially outside of his budget.

raghu78, Thanks for that info, that's good to know. As I am building a new system I was leaning more towards the new card.. I really like the Power color PCS+Myst HD 7870 that you showed me.. I think it will suit my needs for now... If I had the extra money I would probably buy the used one also just to see how much difference there was....But I really like the card you suggested....Now maybe I can help you. Where do you live? What kind of car do you drive? How much are you paying for gas? I tinker with cars, I have had a 1993 Ford T-bird with a 3.8 V-6 stock engine with a few minor mods that went from 18-22 MPG to 39-43 MPG. Any one can do what I did... I am not an auto mechanic, but if some one explains how and why something works I can generally figure it out...I have a 2006 Chevy HHR 2.2 with auto trans, it gets 30-32 MPG rite now, my goal is 60-90 MPG....It is possible, with the rite combo of parts and tuning!!! Our gas prices just dropped to 3.78 a gal USD. If you live in Europe I think yours are double that.. You can do what I am going to go as well...With the same results... Again thanks for Explaining......

Big Stro onZ, Thanks man.. Please check my reply to raghu78.....This can help you also...As you live in Jersey your gas prices are high also.. FYI there is a company in Jersey called Fluidionics, the make a product called Tuffoil that will eliminate all friction and wear on internal engine parts. The 1993 T-Bird I had, had 395,000 mi on it and blew a head gasket & cracked one head.. My mech was GM factory cert. 40yr master mech. This is documented.. He called me on the phone to ask what I had done to my engine....He pulled THE WHOLE eng apart!!!! He said to me in 40yr I have NEVER SEEN a completely spot less eng on the inside....All of your bearings, cyl, and every internal part are on spec for a new eng, what have you done???? Change the oil every 4,OOO mi and I use Tuffoil additive... Your good for another 395,000 mi...Also he didn't charge me 3,000$ for rebuild!!! LOL...Tuffiol has been on the market for 30yr....I drove the T-Bird to work 6 days a wk, 110 mi round trip 90% on I-490 at 39 MPG every day for 5yr....If I put 1 bottle of K-100 G in the gas tank, gas additive, 22 gal tank, I would get 43 MPG...Any one can do what I did...I am not an auto mech... Thanks hope this helps....

will do. we call it petrol in india. it costs Rs. 80 per litre. almost USD 1.5 per litre. in india they don't measure in gallons as is done in the US. petrol is cheaper in the US. 1 gallon (3.785 litres) costs USD 3.5 atmost. so it works out less than 1 dollar per litre. lucky guys thumb.gif

raghu78, Yes that would be the British influence left over in India. Petrol, so if I understand correctly 3.8 liters = just over 1 gal here. And your cost is .80 cents per liter 3.8 x .80 = $ 3.04 per gal??? What is RS, royal sovereign? I don't think I converted that rite... Are you on the British pound system?? I mean we just had a price drop in my area of NY and most stations are at $3.78 per gal...They were at $3.85 per gal... OMG Did you mean $1.50 per liter?? That = $5.70 per gal..... RS 80= cost for 1 liter?? RS 80= $1.47 per liter. $1.47 x 3.8 liters=$5.57 per gal OMG....

Tarun, Thanks very much, looks like two great lists.. All though I am planing on the Hyper 212 EVO, and the Mobo's are between the AS Rock Z77 Extreme 4, MSI Z77-G55, & the Asus P8Z77-V LK, Crucial Ballistix 16GB to start, may buy a 4 pack, Cooler Master scout II case, the Power color PCS+ AX7870...Still not sure on the PSU yet, 650 watt will do...I was trying to make sure that I picked a good foundation first then work out the HD, DVD, & or SSD, fans,ect... But still checking and taking it slow before I start buying things... Thanks for your help...FYI the case is a must, I love that case.....I'm going to mod it real nice.... Or the Mass Cool 7WA868 cpu cooler..
